OZZY OSBOURNE Did Not Order Silicone Clone
November 21, 2005Chris Vranian of Recre-art.com has contacted BLABBERMOUTH.NET to refute a report that Ozzy Osbourne is one of the first celebrities to order a life-size silicone clone of himself.
Says Vranian: "My wife and I are the owners of Recre-art.com. We created the Ozzy sculpture that you mention in your story [originally published by ContactMusic.com and picked up by BLABBERMOUTH.NET]. Just for the record, Ozzy did NOT order this. It was a commissioned piece of art for the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Las Vegas. None of the celebrities you mentioned [Pamela Anderson, socialite Paris Hilton, VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash and music mogul Simon Cowell] are clients."
According to a posting on Recre-art.com, the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Las Vegas currently features sculptures of Ozzy Osbourne (Photo#1, Photo#2),Steven Tyler (Photo#1, Photo#2) and Jimi Hendrix (Photo#1, Photo#2). The Rainbow started in Los Angeles in 1972 on the famous Sunset Strip and instantly became the playground for rock's biggest legends. Now they have expanded to Vegas.
